I wouldn't do it. As you can see in the picture, the blade is fastened with a quick clamp nut that you tighten by hand. It might have enough force to keep the blade in place on the arbor, but I doubt it has enough clamping force to pull the blade through the wood.

Well ... If you bought CS 50, you should be able to buy Festool blades too. It's like buying a Ferrari and puting on low quality tires. [tongue]
These blades are top quality and they do their job perfectly. I use three different types of those blades on my CS 50 and I'm very very pleased with results.

I wonder what drove Festool to that design besides boosting sales of propitiatory blades.

Stehle also makes these blades called FX (FastFix).
Diameter Ø190x20 and meant only for the CS 50.
Don't know about the price compared to the Festool ones.
But Stehle has a good reputation and makes a lot of different blades.

Thank's for answers.
Conclusion ,I have to buy Festool blade or import Stehle (have never seen this brand in Norway)
I know Festool blades are top quality, but for some use the second best is good enough. [wink]

I think this is the most reasonable explanation. And you use only Festool blades ( and few lucky ones use Stehle).

So is a pentagram...(my $0.06)

It is easier to market and sell Torx.
