Using Freud Lock-Miter Bit with OF1400?

Is it possible to use this bit on an OF1400 and using it by hand?  or is it a bit that's more designed for using on router table?

This is a bit to be used only in a table.  You would do well to take a serious look at the Infinity setup jigs for dialing in these bits.  Without these, the bits are a royal pain in the arse to get set up right.  Once you get the table/bit set up for a particular material thickness, make yourself a set of setup blocks for that specific material thickness and set them aside for future use.  If you change material thickness, you'll need to set up the table/fence/bit all over again, and make another set of setup blocks.  Once you get them dialed in, they make beautiful joints, but they are the most troublesome bits to get set up right.

The groove center from prazi looks interesting.  However, it would seem that if you are using a router lift in your table it could be a bit of a challenge to change from the setup tool to your lock-miter bit once you've positioned the fence.  The video shows you need to remove the entire router to change to the bit.  I typically raise the router lift to change the bit; which I find much more convenient.

I have the Infinity tool setup gauge and it works great.  Much less expensive than the Prazi.  The Prazi can be used for other centering, however.  Bill

Regarding set-up of such a bit, I've found the procedure explained at http://stuswoodworks.com/2009/04/setting-up-a-locking-miter-bit/ to work at least as well as the various jigs and gizmos I've tried, including the infinity one.
