I bought the festool splitter but it sticks out really far/wasted space in a small shop. Is there a shorter one or one that's a 90 so I can drop the hoses out of the way. I don't love my vac around
I have mine detached from the vac using an #499196 adapter. With only 32mm it's smaller in diameter, but as of the short length the impact on the airflow isn't that bad. A 50mm hose also works with the black adapter from the 499196.
2" high pressure PVC pipe will fit the CT with a bit of tapering. You can then use any combination of plumbing fittings to get the hose to where you want it.

But PVC pipe fittings are not normally Anti-Static or made of conductive material. So if that matters to your application take that into consideration.
Yep. I use one of their right angle adapters a bit in my workshop. I can't remeber what model it is, but one end goes into the CT and the hose goes over the other. Could easily be used the get the festool Y piece to the left, right, or vertical.
I use one on my CT 26 where the hose enters the vac so the assembly does not stick out as far. I have four other vacs that pretty much stay stationary where I use that right angle Oneida fitting... 2.5" Right Angle SC Vacuum Hose Elbow Adapter... Item #: AXD600103
