[member=65062]DynaGlide[/member] Nice setup.

Very nice set up indeed! Very clean and well executed!

Speaking of the pump two questions is their a need for a filter to keep dust out. The manual states their is but I’ve never heard anyone talking about it. I know it has a air filter but the manual seems to talk about another filter and considering I would use it with sanding and such seems like dust getting sucked up is quite possible. Anyone has thoughts?

The second is their a quick connector fitting for the pump to make it easer to store by being able to pop it off?

Thanks!
Robert

I opened the Vac Sys pump box and got out the warranty card.
There is no part number or serial number on either the card or the pump.
Is the Vac Sys system considered an accessory, not a tool, so there is no warranty?
That's disappointing.

I know Vas Sys I & II can be registered but interesting that pump is not. Maybe the pump is more of accessory rather than tool in Vac Sys setup? Just throwing my thoughts.

I missed out on both bis and hartville in the past week.  Does anyone know if the vac sys 1 or the pump will be back in stock anywhere soon.  Particularly the pump if possible .

Sanjay, check Beaver Indusyrial Supply for the pump. Spoke with them about a week ago and they had several. SE1 still shows “in stock “ a few minutes ago at Tool Nut

The Vac Sys pump has a FESTOOL  label on the base with the T-Nr and S-NR Numbers.

Thank you! It's on the inside of the base, very hard to see.

I have the other parts for the Vac Sys--clamping modules, etc.--but haven't registered them because I didn't have the entire system together. It's been > 30 days since delivery of those. I'm not so concerned about the warranty on those mostly non-electric parts, but will Festool still accept registration for warranty?

I ordered the SE1, SE2, pump combo but only receive the pump and SE2 today. I hope I am getting the SE1 that I already paid for and need the foot pedal from.

I'm in the same situation. I ordered the complete set with the accessory set and MFT clamp. I received the pump, SE2, and accessory kit, but not the SE1 and MFT clamp. I emailed BIS asking if I would be receiving the SE1 with foot pedal, and if not, what is their return policy. I have not heard back from them yet. My order was placed on 12/21/21.

Same thing happened to me. Waiting on an update. Ordered on 12/16/2021. Missing the SE1.

Still no SE1 or any responses from BIS!

I talked with BIS yesterday and I believe they said they had 40 SE1’s that would coming in and shipping next week. They had no update or timeline on the MFT brackets. The lady was very nice and helpful. She offered to call Festool to ask about the bracket, but I said that wasn’t necessary.

Well, now they are saying late May for shipping the Vac-Sys set. Now I’m a little more concerned if the order will actually be fulfilled. It’s not as bad as the Auriou carving chisels that I ordered a year ago and I’m still waiting for some of them to be delivered. Tough times!  [cool]

It seems [member=11331]Beaver Industrial Supply[/member] ran out of the "supplied" shipment of the SE1, now they estimate another 14 days until more come in. I'm not feeling great about this. They sent me the pump and the SE2, and invoiced me, but without the SE1 which includes the foot pedal, I basically have a useless VAC SYS without the SE1. They also don't seem to respond to emails and their phone support is fair at best. Why show you have a product for sale if you don't have the inventory to support your sales. :(

I am still waiting for my set. It looks the whole thing has become a complete debacle. It's an all or none for me. I want the extra heads and the set. My ship date has slipped from February to March and now to April.

Maybe they have restarted the line to make some "extras". [wink]

Not to rain harder on your parade  [smile]  but I've also had issues with BIS on other closeout items. The quickest way to resolve any issue with them is a phone call, their email thing just absolutely does not work.

[member=44099]Cheese[/member] real time inventory is not BIS’s strong suit although they have gotten better.

But I have never had a problem with asking my sales guy to go in the warehouse and check and pull something for me if they have it.

Trust me, I have called their support team and they are just as helpful as their email responsiveness. Live and learn I guess.

[member=75841]sanjay[/member] I bought one last week from Beaver Industrial Supply.  I called their toll free sales number.  They confirmed they had a few in at that point shipped me one that day and a got it a couple days later.  For me, Beaver did a great job.  Hope you find one.  I am setting mine up this weekend.

Good luck.

Are you serious? I order and paid for mine on 12/21/21 and still haven’t received it. That’s crazy.

[member=13588]Runhard[/member] Yep, I am serious.  I called two weeks ago and not last week.  I just checked the order and it was two weeks ago.  I was off a week in my initial reply.

However, when I called I was told it was in stock, ordered/paid for the SE2 on that phone call and it showed up a couple days later.  Did you just order the second unit?  I had one unit, the pump, and the set of different vacuum cups already so I just wanted a second unit for an upcoming linen closet build.  If you just ordered a second unit that is really crazy.  Good luck buddy.
