Vac sys sound

My vac sys sounds like something is loose.  I can’t find anything. Before I send it in I wanted to check and see if it sound right.  I have an oil vacuum sealer as well and it sounds different.  Let me know what you think.

Yeah, doesn't sound right.  Have you opened it up and checked for anything loose that might be inadvertently creating the buzz due to vibration, including taking out the filter?

Vac se 2 is 2020-5.  I didn’t even think to check the dates, I was so ready to get it.  Is it normal to have different dates on the 2 vac kit. Is it normal for the cup to be hard to rotate?

It wouldn't be abnormal for them to have different dates; the main "Set" SKU is really just a collection of the three individual SKUs for the pump, SE1 with pedal and SE2.  Depending on the sell-through rates of the underlying individual SKUs, the SE1 base and SE2 base could have different dates, as well as the pump itself.

Define "hard to rotate"?  My cup was nearly impossible to remove when I first got it, but came out more easily the second time.  The pad itself shouldn't be overly easy to rotate when unlocked, as anything clamped to it would multiply the force being applied and make it easier to rotate.  A cup that rotated by itself with just finger pressure would spin like a top once you put a long board on it and gave it a little push.

When I watch Sedge remove the cups, it looks smooth and seamless, but looks can be deceiving.  My first house had a magnetic weather strip on a steel door and it took a "hip check" to open it.  After a few months it became second-nature to me and 17 years later when I sold it, you couldn't tell I was doing anything special to open it, but others struggled significantly.  I still catch myself hip-checking the wood door on my current house.

It looks like my pump is on its way today.  I notice the vac sys 1 clamp oring looks dry.  I am guessing it’s a part that can fail and just needs replaced.  Has anyone replaced it and how much.  Also, has any one used o-ring grease on it.
