Bought vacuum pump system off eBay.  Everything looked fine till I went to use it this morning and discover the switch on the vacuum pump looks like it exploded with guts everywhere.  Cannot find a schematic or any info on part number or replacement.

As Cheese said, contact Festool service. Just because you can't buy a new one doesn't mean they can't service (or at least get you parts for) the one you have.

That just looks like a standard power switch. Festool isn't making those custom. And if they are... there is a cost saving to just buy them off the shelf  [tongue]

Maybe those components are differently sized in metric world vs American... not sure.

Contacted Festool thus far no joy in Mudville.  The switch is not even shown on the schematic?

[member=79085]Jbatesmd[/member]  if you post some better pictures and take the time to measure and provide the dimensions, I’m sure that the collective brain trust here on the FOG can point you to a replacement part.

I think the issue is ekat doesn't list a separate part for the switch in the diagram. It's probably part of whatever pump they use. You may have to do as others said and give us some measurements and detailed pictures. A switch is nothing special and easily replaced even if it isn't the exact same one as long as it fits.

Look for any markings on the switch that may provide a part number.

If there's a part number on the switch itself, you might get lucky and find one on Mouser or Digikey or something.

Even if it's just a diagram of the contacts, a quick measurement of the hole it came out of might be enough to get something compatible.

Looks like a „normal“ 240V on/off switch to me. You should be able to get one online.
They are usually available on single & dual contact variety. (Means how many switched contacts are in the switch).

In case this helps, the EKAT shows the rocker switch is Part Number 469699.  This is for the European version but might be the same switch used on the NA version.
