I'm in the process of building a cart for my recently acquired VacSys system - i bought the one that includes the 2 bases that run off of the one vacuum pump. I'm modeling the cart format off of the designs that others on here have created with a few "improvements" of my own. I'll provide some details about that once I get it finished.
Now to my question -
For people who use the system with 2 bases, do you ever close the valves that basically turn off the vacuum suction to the second base when you only need the holding power of one? That can get tricky when you enclose the system in a cart (especially the valve on the hose that comes out from the back of the foot pedal). So I'm curious how important it is to shut off the second unit when only one is needed? Any advice would be appreciated.
