I've had my vacuum boom for 1 week and noticed the sag in the boom. After careful look, I noticed the white nylon swivel piece is bent from the stress. I talked to Woodcraft where I bought it and they said Festool has aluminum replacement part for that and I should call them. So I did call Festool direct. Gentleman on the phone (tech support) says they don't have such aluminum piece and that he hasn't heard of the sag issues with the nylon piece. He also said that if I had problems, I NEEDED to go through Woodcraft, not direct to Festool. He said that if I contact Woodcraft, they could have a replacement nylon part sent to me. But wouldn't that sag too?
So here are my questions:
1) Has anyone else noticed the sag at the nylon piece? If so, did you fix it or left it? I'm thinking it will continue to get worse, but maybe that's a wrong assumption.
2) Is this common with Festool that I have to go through the place of purchase rather than directly with them?
Not trying to start an arguement, I just don't know. This is the first "issue" I've had with all my Festools, I don't know what normal with their process.
Thanks in advance.
