Vacuum System as a Vacuum Chuck on lathe?

I am looking to compare the Festool Vacuum Pump to the Oneway Vacuum Pump... Looking to see if the Festool pump is comparable.

Would like to know which is better to use on a lathe as the vacuum to my vacuum Chuck system. Love Festool products and looking to buy the vacuum system however want to know if it would work for wood turning as well.

The Festool pump has a slightly lower max vacuum (24" vs 26.5") with less than half the total air flow (2 cfm vs 4.5 cfm) for nearly double the price ($800 vs $444).

I would go with the Oneway unit and use it with the Festool clamp.

You can blame Keating for that problem when he floated our dollar in 1983.  Previously our dollar was almost double it's present exchange rate value.  It's now great for our exports, but a real bug bear when we have to pay so much more for imported goods.
