valance design for led lighting

I've a client requesting a contemporary  valance to utilize led roll lighting washing the sloped ceiling above as well as the walls below. I mocked up a basic valance , but it didn't excite me. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.Thanks

Contemporary 11 ft walls vaulted ceilings T and G painted pine ceilings .The LED lighting will be double strand ,warm and cold  washing up. The down washing LED is single strand . All the lighting is accent only and electronically dimmable. The valance will be fabricated with dimensional  soft maple painted with water based pigmented lacquer.any help will be appreciated.Thanks
