When I asked a Fein rep about sanding with the Supercut years ago, he suggested that I only use it for cutting. That being said, "Yes" you can sand, but you will need the adapter for using Multimaster-style accessories, you'll need to buy sanding pads, sheets of sandpaper, and after all of that you likely won't be happy with the results, as compared to an orbital detail sander.

Depending on the amount and/or what you are sanding. I have a RO90 with both delta heads. Sometime I fine that the RO 90 can't get to the spots I needed sanded.
I solved the problem by gluing sandpaper to worn multimaster blades.

I do have both pads,but sometime there too wide. Currently I have a job that I need to sand the bottom of a cave door that has settled a little on the closer box. So instead of taking down a 10' x 5' x 4" door. I glued some paper to the tops of my multimaster blades.
Before I got to the job my MM died $175.00 to repair. ( about the first of November)I picked up a vecturo on Dec 1
So now I need to waste a super cut blade or get and adaptor or borrow some one else's MM.

I know that the fein super cut comes with an adapter to switch from super cut blades and mm blades. Does festool offer this feature as well?

I'm thinking about looking into one. Seems like there's a few different brands.
Which one are best?
In St. Helena only one store sell mm blades. No use even asking them to get sc blades.

Here's the issue sanding with any of the oscillating tools. The center of the pad doesn't move or hardly moves. Compare this to a true sander with full pad movement. Your delta sanding pad on a Vecturo or multimaster is pivoting around the center, which means the center of that paper hardly moves, leaving a nice unsanded spot right in the middle. Get an RO 90 if it's going to be any task that's something more than a one off or wont take ya more than 5-10 minutes.

What about the Fein MM profile sanding kit? Anyone tried to use an adapter for hooking this up to Vecturo? When I do profile sanding now I mostly use the LS130, but there are still occasions where the Fein pads come in handy.

I have used the Supercut (Vecturo in its original colors 
) with sanding pads and the profile sanding kit. I think it does a pretty good job for those small sanding tasks and with the right papers and grit the regular sanding pad is not too bad either. I did a whole lot of profile sanding once and the Supercut worked well for that with those small pads. I guess that job was exactly the right job for that set up. For some really awkward spots the set up was the best solution.
As a stand alone sander it is not "bad" but it isn't like running a RTS400 or a RO90 - but that isn't to be expected. I have used it with fine grit to sand down small objects/surfaces and it does a smooth job.
I don't use the sanding pads too often on the Supercut (can't remember last I did and usually don't bring them in the large SYS) but a couple of times it has been all I needed to finish off a small job.
