I think that Jerry Work or Bill Wyco would be good candidates for the review. With a slight preference in voting for
Bill since he cuts so many small parts for his pieces. On the other hand Jerry does write fabulous reviews and his work is amazing.  darn it!! I cant decide.

I have to finish my MFK review and as so as that is done I'll be starting another review you guys will want to check out. Its just as well, the other members on the list are better suited to review this product than I. It was nice to be included on the list among these very talented members.

This is an exciting product and I can't wait for the review, whoever writes it.

I would love to go.  But, since monte started this thread and he really wants to go, I say let him be chosen. Jerry Work is great, but to him reviewing a tool is what he does, I say let a guy who really would be excited about this trip go. With Jerry it would be nowhere near the same experience that it could be for Monte or someone who has never done anything like this.

Heck Monte, I probably could pay my own way and meet you there if the price and timing were just right.

I would love to get the unit and use it for my  inlays and post pics of it in action on my home made website. I could write a full blown review(for the FOG). I have tons of unused bandwidth on my site. This could show a lot of guys that are considering doing a little side internet business it can be done and that this tool really helps for certain things. I could even link to the sales page for Bridge City

I get emails everyday asking for help in making the inlays. JJ if this interests you let me know.

Without taking anything away from the others who've been nominated and who I don't mention here, I'd nominate:

Michael Kellough (based on the pics above, which I assume are of his work; and his ability to understand and explain technical information, as shown by his posts on this forum and the old FOG)

and

Nickao (whose work I've seen in pics, and whose posts here show he is a capable writer)

Aside to John Economaki:  I don't see any reason for you to release your cost/pricing data to anyone other than investors or IRS auditors.  Really--it's nobody else's business whether you're sending money offshore, sending it to a mistress, spending it wisely or spending it inefficiently.  It's completely irrelevant to the value of the tool.

Seriously though, I don't think I am a good candidate for the review. My work pieces tend to be on the large side. (eg Entry doors and stairs) I am not a furniture maker yet and have no need for this saw (it does look fabulous though). I think the best candidate would be a furniture designer/maker who emphasizes hand cut joinery and I do not think any of the candidates listed fit that criteria. Since I have only seen a few of the candidates work I am most likely wrong in that statement.

The photos below are of a Cabinet (An ARK that holds the holy scrolls)
I recently designed and fabricated for a Synagogue in Los Angeles.

......below is an excerpt taken from the Synagogue's newletter.........

"Our new Ark was designed and executed by a local Malibu artisan,
Roger Savatteri. Roger lived in Israel for many years, and was educated
at the Betzalel Institute in Jerusalem, a school named for the artisan
who followed God's direction and produced the original Ark.

It took the Interiors Committee over a year to select the Ark
that most closely exemplified the spirit of MJC&S, and Roger's design
was chosen for our light-filled, open-air synagogue over twelve other finalists.

The new ark is constructed of glass and acacia wood,
with filigree carved doors resembling the tree of life.
The shelf holding the scrolls will be of acacia wood, as mandated in the bible.
The carved doors will open to reveal an internal/eternal glow,
thus encasing the Torah scrolls in a sea of light."

I was undecided until I read Nick's post, and I agree with him 100%. Monte did start this thread, and had he not, I would not have known about this product. I considered this product to be right up Nicks alley, and probably would of voted for him, but now my vote is definetly for Monte.

All those guys are good to go. But really, this thread would not even exist if not for monte. I think that has to carry a lot of weight.

This is also a way for monte to break out as a leader. Even though he has only 93 or so posts they are good posts and this review will get him even more into the forum. Isn't that what we want, more guys making more good posts.

I think his desire is enough to assure me he will do a good job. Come on guys lets give it to someone today so they can make plans with their family's for the trip.
