After checking on FOG for a place to buy Festool without state tax, as I was in the process of moving between states and beginning to start a business, I found a recommendation to try FestoolNirvana.com.  It’s owner Chip Sadiku apparently had great customer service as noted by other FOG members. I tried Chip’s online store.  My first order was a made in May of 2020 and not only did Chip keep me up to date on it’s status by personal email, but it arrived fast and in some of the most careful packaging I’ve ever received.  This was especially important to me on things like tracks and tables.  It is obvious that he goes the extra mile to do things well. After “testing the waters” I have now made a total of 10 orders and the excellence has not waivered.  He’s out of Illinois and I’m on the West Coast so, how and when, things arrive is important.  If there is a backorder, he tells you immediately.  If there is a Festool update, like the new Systainers, he tells you and helps you out. If you need an order split or changed, he’s on it straight away.  I order online a lot and though I have never met Chip, I’m a big fan of this guy’s communication and attention to detail.  He has earned a very satisfied customer.https://www.festoolnirvana.com

Chip is excellent.  I lived in Chicago and dealt with him directly there and now have moved and still deal with him.  Great guy.  Great service.

Strictly speaking , you're still obligated to pay the tax on that purchase.  Your state will have the mechanisms in place already.

I would not advertise publicly that I was looking for ways to circumvent taxes, but that's me.

Appreciate the concern. Not circumventing at all. My State asks about online purchases that were not taxed and you can itemize or chose the standard percentage they assume for you. I use Turbo Tax and this issue requires an answer and I always do what is required. There’s no escape unless you lie and I don’t do that.

Not concerned.

But find it curious that you’d lead with “trying to find a place w/o tax” if you're going to file & pay anyway.

A review of F.N. would have been just as good w/o mention of your financial situation.

Please move away from the sales tax issue.  This thread was about comments about a dealer and service.
