I like the boom arm as well- will have to copy the idea for my shop.  But just curious why you drilled all the extra holes?

1. To try to make the 18mm plywood a little lighter.  This is the main reason.  [embarassed]
2. I received  a new Centrotec installers set with the Zobo bits and I wanted to test them out.  [wink]
3. At the time I made this I was not sure how the heck I was going to connect the hose to the boom arm. 
4. Why not?  LOL  [tongue]
5. It's kinda looks cool....to me.  It's like a functional piece of fine art !    [blink]

Thanks Eric- I figured it was for weight reduction but just wanted to see if you had a different idea.  Thanks for posting and sharing!

And he drilled those holes because he loves Swiss cheese. [cool] Pretty sure its his favorite. If its left out long enough it turns Festool green. [tongue]
