Since this is the second CMS I have set up, (the first was my Rep's and we set it up together), I would encourage everyone to get serious about the fine tuning... Neither of the two I set up needed much, but a little fine tuning went a long way. I got lucky on both tables and only needed one round to nail them. I would strongly suggest a recheck after the first round and stick it out if necessary.
Like all properly designed, manufactured items, Festool products are adjustable. A CMS is several assemblies that are sold separately or in sets. The sets are collections of assemblies. That means that in the "real world", some end-user calibration is required.
I know I don't need to mention this to most tool users but there have been a few threads or posts on this Forum that made me realize some people think having the best tools means there are no manufacturing tolerances and everything is perfect "out of the box".
To the contrary, the best machines are designed to be fine tuned and altered/tuned per use.
