Wadkin saws

Hi everyone I was speaking to a guy I know today and he should me two of his spare wadkin saws one is a big panel saw they don't have the blade brakes are these any use or is there any interest in these anymore here is a photo of them

A scrap dealer  might be interested. Though you might have to bung him a few quid  to  go to the hassle of removing them.

I think  whats left  of Wadkin are pretty much bust.
Their machines never evolved from  being  big chunks  of  heavy  iron  to suit the modern market.
 
Refurbished Wadkin stuff that complies with current regs probably sells for more now then it was originally bought for, it's proper industrial stuff that you can use all day everyday without a problem. Think the rusty stuff without brakes etc is only really worth its scrap value.

I looked at a big old Robinson spindle moulder a couple of weeks ago, must have been 50 years old, all cast, mint condition, 3 phase complete with some cutters but none of it up to regs. They were asking £350 for it, a lot of machine for the money but nobody wanted it.
