This past weekends endeavor, after correcting the surfaces.........

Curious What are theses pieces for and what kind of wood is that?
Looks like you had to "correct" them quite a bit.

Maple.

Arm rests for auditorium seating.

My corrections came after they were prepped for finish by others.

The Gx series is very difficult to connect to a pot.

Why?  You just need a 1/4" swivel(straight) to 3/8" NPT fitting, it does hang off to the side and being made of steel, steel against steel has a tendency to loosen up and/or leak(been there).  Nobody makes a brass fitting so I made two for my Gxpc's.

The T-70, you just remove the cup and connect the material supply line right there, correct?  I guess it's more natural with lines sort-of  in line.  Either way, sooner or later the lines will get in the way causing the need to rotate the fan adjustment.

That's why...

Yes. No different than any other hose be it fluid or air getting in the way. How in the way has never played a part in why I change fan pattern/orientation.

Okay, if you never had a problem with that with all your experience, it isn't going to happen.  I thought there might be a situation where it would.

Only when you aren't paying attention, or get distracted.
It's always user process error not equipment failure. Hose management is a habit.

There was one time for me but it was the hose.  Started a 115 sq/ft job with a Graco airless handheld and first time usage of a latex paint.  Couldn't spray two seconds without plugging the tip even with a larger tip.  Pressed for time I used my Fuji Gxpc with the Graco pressure pot but my paint hose fitting didn't fit the 90 degree flitting only directly on the Gxpc.  It stuck out a mile and did get in the way but it was slow for that much area.  It did save the day though!

Bill,

In time, and after enough spraying you'll be the same way. You'll look at a job and know the process (in your head) you need to apply. Part of that process is keeping the hoses out of the way.

As Tim said, hose management is just part of the job.
