Want to use Surfix but my RO 90 is too small, what to get?

Hi Festoolers,
Since the pad on the RO 90 doesn't support the Surfix pads (150mm) I was wondering what would compliment for my RO 90 in the larger size? I also am planning on making some large dining tables so I need something that can handle large flat surfaces.
Thanks,
K.C.

Any of the ETS sanders work well with the pads in the Surfix kit for burnishing the oil into the wood pores. Just turn the speed down with what ever sander you end up with so you don't fling oil around if you've got a fairly wet coat going.  The instructions are pretty good in the kit, but lurking around in Festool land is a nice, more detailed list of Notes that I think the UK got and we here in the USA didn't if I remember right. Someone can probably post it or find it here on FOG if the thread doesn't come up in a Search. I've got the papers at home somewhere in my shop too.

Dust collection is not an issue, so any hook-n-loop sander will work. The cheapest one that goes slow from Home Depot would work just dandy.

There is absolutely nothing magical about those pads or any other part of the Surfix system. If that is seriously all you want the larger sander for, get some Abralon, cut it to the size you need, and save that $400.
