Wanted FEIN Tanos Orange Systainer!

Add me to the list - as long as a Multimaster will fit with a bit of room... I see some who are saying it would this be a sys 1, however others asking for sys 2 with insert?

If I am able to do this it will be a SYS-2. Apparently I have a thing for SYS-2's...

[wink]

It will NOT have an attic lid, since Tanos does not produce one in orange and will not do a custom run in the quantities we are talking about.

On a German tools forum a representative from Fein confirmed that the Fein SYS 1 and SYS 2 are now sold EMPTY but with insert!!!!!!
Part numbers are:
SYS 1: 3 39 011 46 00 0
SYS 2: 3 39 011 47 00 0

I only regret that there is no Fein DF systainer version available, because the blades fit perfectly in the lid.

I've tried to get a proper Fein sys a couple of times now but Fein UK won't sell them. All they did instead was send me a Fein sticker to go on my orange triton systainer

I keep my Multimaster in a grey SystI Tanos with insert which I bought from Woodcraft.  I use a second grey SystI Tanos for the accessories and changed out the latches with orange ones.

Edit: Corrected the price after catching an error in my numbers.

Trying to do this has been an interesting endevour (note the metric spelling?  [big grin])

Since I can't really add any value to a 'plain ole' systainer, I really didn't want to be in the middle. I tried to just facilitate this by encouraging a dealer to step up to the plate. So, let me start by telling you what DIDN'T work:

• No dealers wanted to order these in for stock. No real shocker there.

• No dealer I talked to was willing to do a group buy. I tried.

• Tanos is unable or unwilling to offer either the Fein-branded Systainer or the inserts. If you want an insert you're on your own.

Now, let me tell you the good news:

I *have* been able to put together a potential deal:

•  It is for an orange Sys 2 with an orange or black latch - majority rules.

•I will need to have orders for at least 30 units.

• The systainers will ship from Germany in about 2 months, and will come to me on a pallet. I will need to break down the pallet, re-pack the systainers individually, and ship them out to each buyer. I would need to buy boxes and bubble-wrap and tape.

Now - one more piece of 'less than good' news. For me to do this the price will have to be $100 per systainer INCLUDING shipping. I realize that this is a LOT for one systainer, and I understand if it makes this deal not attractive. I'm not sure that I would pay that much myself!

Let me know what you think, and if there is still enough interest I will start a new thread for orders.

That price seems right for what WOW has to do on his end. I'm still in for three. I wasn't sure if I should post now or wait for the new "ordering thread".

There are Triton T-Loc systainers which you can get at a not-custom price.

The Triton logo is probably painted, which should be removable.

Rich:

Thanks for the vote of support. So far you are the only person who has expressed an interest at this price. Just so people know that I'm not 'gouging' anybody, here's the breakdown of my costs to do this:

Custom Systainer 2 - $67
Domestic Shipping (averaged) - $18
Boxes, bubblewrap, tape, etc. - $4
----------------------------------
Raw cost = $89
---------------------------------

My 'take' for doing everything = $11 per unit. Hopefully people see that as reasonable, but if not I suspect we won't hear from them and this idea will go quietly into the sunset...

I started the thread and would have purchased this ORANGE systainer. But have decided to Sell the Fein and replace with the Festool Vecturo. I love the plunge base [big grin]

Maybe others are doing the same?

But thanks Wow for doing the research, just too bad one of the retail guys here is not doing this.

That's what I bought, the triton logo is printed on any ideas how to remove it ??

My vote is orange box with black latch and black handle.

Am I correct that we only need to bring our own Multimaster insert and a 15mm Base Foam Insert?

Good luck removing the logo with damaging the plastic.  Most of the inks used in printing the plastics etch themselves into the top layer.  And they do it quickly.

PVC pipe cleaner will take it off. But it will also alter the look of the plastic. You need to be careful not to smear it around. Wet cloth, wipe once in one direction, repeat with clean spot on cloth. I suggest testing it on the bottom or a Systainer that you don't care about first. I removed BTI logo from the one in the picture.

I have got a Fein sticker to go on mine that Fein sent me. Had the triton sys awhile now and haven't had a chance to try removing the logo, too busy working lol

Thank you for the part numbers, I have been able to find a company in the UK who are able to supply the Fein systainers on their own thanks to having the part numbers, so thank you.  I have created a separate post for this.

Cheers

It is now three years later and I FINALY got an orange Fein Systainer SYS2. Thanks [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] at ToolNut.
