I would suggest that you contact Festool UK to verify.

Shane, I'm sure I saw recently that the WCR is considered an accessory, but mine did come with the green registration card.  Not trying to dig up dead topics, but I did assume it would fall under that scope in the USA...do all larger accessories come with the green card just cuz?  I'm only curious!!  Love my WCR!

Bob,

Germany isn't supposed to include warranty registration cards in any of our products. Sometimes it happens. Policies and product classifications may vary by country.

Thanks for the explanation!  I appreciate that!

Since this was announced on the forum by dealers, I will convey the following policy changes to the WCR 1000 for the U.S. and Canada:

- The WCR 1000 will now be considered to be a tool
- The 30-day money back guarantee will apply to the WCR 1000
- The three year warranty will apply to the WCR 1000

These policy changes are retroactive for anyone who has purchased the WCR 1000 since its introduction.

If you have questions, let me know.

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks Shane.  Um question along those lines. Will the Sys Roll fall into the same classification as the WCR 1000?

That's great. I just bought one a few weeks ago, but I did not like how it worked with my boom arm so I sold it to a FOG member. How should we go about switching the warranty information over?

Thanks,

Daniel

Shane,

I'm the one who purchased Runhards WCR. I'm taking posesion of it tomorrow (3/16/2013). If you need anymore info let me know, I'll email it to you.

Nothing is required to transfer the warranty. I would always encourage you to obtain a copy of the receipt as a proof of purchase. But it's not required.

I'm pretty confident the Sys-Roll is not considered a tool but let me check and report back shortly. I'm not where I can check at the moment.

Just checked our dealer info - the Sys-Roll will indeed be classified as an Accessory.

Yup, not a tool, like I thought.

Generally, a tool as defined for the purposes of warranty and 30-day returns is a product with a serial number.
