Weak on-board bit storage for Ti15?

Ok, I can honestly say that I've been more than pleased with every Festool purchase I've made. That being said, the one thing I don't care for is the bit storage on the Ti15. For some reason it seems the magnets aren't sufficient to securely hold the bits. This has never been an issue with my old c12. Do other t-handle drills share this problem?

On many jobs I'm changing constantly between Phillips, R2, t25, t30, etc. I find myself often reaching for the bit needed only to realize it has fallen off somewhere on the job. This never happens with my c12. Do the newer c-style bodies retain the bits securely like the old one?

Ok, rant finished.

I'm with you on this one.  Just yesterday I dropped my Ti15 and all six bits stored on board shot off, what a pain in the neck.

I've never tried festools drills. Every other brands i have played with had poor onboard bit storage, So i don't bother with em.

The one on the 'C' series works very well. I keep my four most common 1" drive bits there, and occasionally a couple screws.

In all the years I've had my nicad c12 I think it's dropped bits only once or twice. And that's when I've dropped the drill a nontrivial distance. With the t style  it seems the bits pop off anytime I bump the drill.

I was unpleasantly surprised that they pop off my TI 15 so easily.  Any more, I just use the TwinBox bit boxes that clip onto my belt or just leave the extras in a drawer in the Sortainer.

Willy, that makes sense and that's why I bought the twin box.  Now if I can just remember to throw a half in my tool belt I'd be all set.....

If you buy the Festool impact bits for the TI 15 in sets of five, they come in one half of the TwinBox holster set.  You might get an extra holster for your tool belt out of this purchase, Brice.
