Weird noise from ETS125REQ

I have an ETS 125 REQ that I’ve owned for about a year and used on and off. I recently completed a large project and noticed that at the end, the sander would click every time it was powered on or off. Nothing seems loose or broken, but as soon as the switch is flipped on or off there’s a very audible mechanical click. Any idea what may be wrong or how to fix it? Thanks!
