When TSO came out with the Power-Loc dogs (really a clamping fixture) I had another inspiration:

Bought a replacement MFT/3 and cut it up (YIKES) and build the following MFT/3 fixture:

My next top will have 8mm T-NUTs on 96mm centers centered on the 20mm holes.  So I can have nice accurate grid to screw fixtures down.  Comes in very handy when doing glue ups and Miter folding.

Have that on my drill press table has both dog holes and screw holes. Like the idea to apply this to an MFT/3....
