Well Saturday I went to one of my favorite places, Coastal Tool, to get a Fein MultiMaster.  Of course I couldn't just walk in, get what I needed and get out - NOOOO!!  So while I was browsing I came across the Festool section and low and behold they had a T 15+3 closeout for 20% off.  Complete kit with the chucks, 2 batteries, charger and systainer.  Instead of $575 it was $460.  I looked at it and said , "nah - I don't need it, I already have 4 cordless drills."  Put it down and walked away.  That didn't last long.  The darn thing was calling my name, LOUDLY! [embarassed] So I had to do it!  Instead of just getting the Fein I walked out with both the Fein and the Festool.

good for you , that is therapy  [wink] [big grin]

Do that 3 times a week for a year  and then you will be cured

The best way to cure this is to simply buy most or all of Festools stuff. I was all happy about my tools until the Domino XL came out. This is realy surprising as I didn't have a real use for a big joiner just a few weeks ago. Now I obviously "need" an XL  ;D

Yes, being broke does seem to cure this problem.  In my case it would a lot less than a year. [big grin]

Many of us here seem to share your logic. [tongue]

a few years ago i went to buy the ts55 i walked out with the ts55 and t15 set  [cool]

same thing happened to me when I bought my t15. went in to buy a couple of bessy's walked out with the t15. you wont be sorry it's an awesome piece of kit and your new fav drill

mine actually ENCOURAGES ME to get what Festool I may need.  [big grin] [big grin]  I'm the one who holds back.  What's wrong with me?  I may need therapy... [crying] [crying] [crying]

I did the same thing on the same drill at a Saturday Festool demo at the nearest Rockler.  That was about 3 months ago, and I haven't regretted it for a second.  The T15 even got me to pick up the CXS, which I thought I would have no use for.  The stuff is addictive.
Enjoy!

I can't remember the last time I bought a new festool.  I think it was about a year ago.
I think that has a lot to do with not having a local dealer, I have no issues buying accessories and consumables on line but, never ordered any power tool on line.

Lately, I have been too poor to pay attention.

My dear wife at breakfast the other day said "You know, Christmas isn't that far away.  Do you need one of those Festool things?"  How lucky can a guy get?

I was in the local Woodcraft store yesterday their shelves were almost devoid of new festool offerings.  No CSX, no T-18's (aren't they out?) , not much of anything.  I'll have to get after the manager.  While I was there, I struck up a conversation with a fellow customer about Festool in general and like many others, he was put off by the pricing.  He just didn't get it.  I explained I was too a few years ago but once you step out onto that slippery green slope, there is no turning back nor would he ever want to.

Ditto, I hear your pain.  I wish I could buy more, but too many other $$$$ obligations.

The new drills aren't out yet, October first.

Are you still married  [big grin]

My wife is the one who forced me to throw out the Bosch PCM 8S and buy a Kapex 120 instead. The Bosch wasn't "on par" with the rest of my tools and she didn't like the mess it always made.
