I am building a paint booth from pvc pipe and plastic sheeting so I can spray water based products in my basement. I was wondering what color temperature lights are best for a spray booth.

At a recent lighting symposium I attended, they had a series of small boxes with colored items inside that were being lit with LED's of different  temperatures.

They stated that the "neutral' color temp was between 3100-3500K. My visual impression was that a color temp of 4100K seemed more neutral to me.

At 3100K the light still seemed a bit too yellow.

Thanks guys,
I found 4 48" led lights 4500K CRI 90. Three of the lights will be height adjustable the other will be on the top. Hope this will give me the light I need to see how my finish is going down. If not I'll add more.

Just curious, where did you find the lights?

Found the lights at Menards. They are only a single row of leds but they have a cover over them.

Sam's Club carries some really nice double row linkable LED shop lights branded Honeywell.  They are 4500 lumen 5000K color temp with consumption of 42W.  They are $35 singly, $32.50 each in pairs and $30 each if you buy 10.
