What does the pdc set com with?

I will be finishing 5 rooms in our basement this fall, I will pick one up just before that project. I don't think there are too many other applications where it is so useful.

I wanted it for a deck project in the summer and the drywall one in the fall.

C'est la vie. Bryan.

Am I right that the depth stop fits any Festool drill? Using the centrotec connection rather than the fast fix like my existing depth stop? I am a drywall contractor and it would be sweet to be able to use it on my CXS for the little jobs.

I don't see why not. all the other chucks that I have with my PDC will fit my CXS, even the right angle chuck, although it is not designed to go with the CXS, as the CXS has its own right angle chuck but at a push if you needed to use the PDC right angle chuck then you can make it work.

I have notified Festoolproducts.com about the error on their site.
The depth stop chuck will not be coming in set, plus, or basic versions. It can be purchased separately.

Thanks, Brent. Apologies to any confusion from our website which has been corrected. The stock photography provided by Festool USA for the set version included the depth chuck in the image, which was a little misleading and and oversight on our part.

This response is much appreciated but does not explain how the item listing also ended up showing the depth stop chuck, nor does it address how or whether the error was rectified with customers.

I purchased my PDC set on May 9th and even sent a query on May 27th asking about the delivery time. At no point during the full 21 days did festoolproducts.com inform me about this error. I do not expect them to send me a depth stop chuck. The point is that it impacted which set I chose to purchase. I would have gotten a different set if I had been given the correct information, and I had plenty of time to change it before it was shipped.

I would not call his an egregious error but in this particular case festoolproducts had plenty of time to contact those who had purchased the set. This is the real problem, not whether or not I or any other customers have a specific need for the depth stop chuck, which is totally irrelevant.

Note also that other sites, such as shopfestool.com are still using the image, as the attached screenshot (from today) shows.

The product listing is correct but it is just plain irresponsible to keep the image up when they very well know that the chuck does not come in the set. These products are much too expensive simply to brush aside "mistakes" like these. Yes, I'm using scare quotes because I still do not understand why, if this can all be reduced to a marketing error, the chuck still ended up in the list of items included in the set.

[member=50129]jamiljonna[/member], I see that you're already in contact with us regarding the error in the stock photography provided by Festool. Apologies that you weren't proactively notified of the photo showing the wrong items, which was corrected.

Since you said this would have affected your purchasing decision, we'd be more than happy to swap the PDC set for another version and provide a prepaid return label for you to ship what you received back.

I will take responsibility for the image, which I should have noticed didn't match the scope of delivery. It was an honest oversight and I should have been more vigilant in making sure the photo was a match for what was included. I made the mistake of assuming, as I'm sure other dealers did, that the image would correctly show what's included.

Jamil - Thank you for reaching out.  You are absolutely correct in that the photo does show the depth stop chuck, whereas it is not included in the actual set.  Seems like an error in the stock photography provided for use in promoting the product.  We will pull the photo and make a note in the product description.  Thank you for bringing this to our attention!  I have forwarded to our Sales Manager and our Marketing Manager to expedite needed changes.  Thank you!
