That’s probably A LOT cheaper than buying a tool to get the football for free  [big grin]

Football in Norway and the Czech Republic = Round, globe-shaped and therefore correct. Same goes for the UK, Europe, Scandinavia and everywhere else on every continent (including Central America, South America, Asia, Antarctica, Mars and the Moon) who all know what a football actually is. For our friends in NA however, a football is a torpedo-shaped object which bounces in various directions at random, and is used by huge men wearing suits of plastic armour and shoulder pads the size of a small country, along with designer pants which only come down to their knees, topped out by various incarnations of a motorcycle helmet. Show one of these balls to a citizen of the UK and he/she would call it a rugby ball. I won’t mention Australia as they have different ideas on pretty much everything, including the same game played using wildly different rules and numbers of players, with different shaped balls. Legend has it that one of their games uses a square, cube-shaped ball. Oh, wait ……. I just mentioned Australia.

So to unify the FOG globally = it’s a soccer ball.

Driving 120 miles to pick up a rail... the rail must be about free at that point  [huh]

Well, actually it was two rails and that is round trip, so 60 miles one way.  But 120 miles makes a better story.  When I picked them up, he said he had something else to see if I was interested.  He brought out two rail ratchet clamps still in packages and asked me if I had any idea what they were.  I showed him how they slide into the rail, and he asked me if I would be interested in them.  I asked how much, he said $20 for the pair, and I think I got a paper cut pulling my money out of my billfold.  He said that was better than throwing them away, so we both came out ahead.  I imagine some day my kids will treat my stuff the same way.

Picked up the SE2 option for the VAC SYS, ordered in from Germany last week by the local subsidiary.  Build date was mid February this year, so they're clearly not just shifting old stock.  Glad to have it as it'll be used this summer for a specific project, now I have the experience using the basic kit to know just how useful it can be.  I'm even happier that it didn't come in a Sys3.  [laughing]

The unfortunate thing about going to get Festool tools is that there is often a temptation to pick up something else, which lead me to get the CT-VA-20 that has been occasionally wished for in my workshop when I'm using the CT26 and a HL 850 planer.

And some more 14x140 dominos, as I'm down to a handful at this stage.

While I was sorting that lot out, my Festool dealer here said that "Summer is nearly here in Finland, so I have something for you".  He handed me a Festool umbrella.  Wise guy.  Funny.  ;D

Pictures, please! Where's your manners?

Just kidding..... NOT about the pictures, though.

scraper blades for the LS130 before they are gone...

I am tempted to buy an LS130 before they all disappear. I don't really need one, at least at this time, but FOMO is a thing.

As an FOG member well-known for his continuous heavy Festool investment (bags, splinter strips etc. all as the post above), I thought I'd continue my spending spree, since my existing cleanup tools are worn down to their tubular sockets  [sad]

I'm probably keeping the company in business single-handed.

DTS 400 + net abrasives
ETS EC 125 + hard 150 disc.

I'm a new Festool owner and have been avoiding the product for years mainly because I could tell I would want more. I bought a Planex 2 and CT36 AC a few weeks back to remove plaster stipple from a house. Brilliant. Love that thing. So, now the slippery slope...

I'm going to use cubitron on the ETS EC and skip the Festool abrasives. Didn't see better options for the DTS.

I'm a Milwaukee packout fan so I'm not at happy with the systainers, but it's sort of an apples/oranges thing. I'll live with them a while before re-packing the sanders into packout.
