What Festool Did You buy Today?

Are you buying other green things for your farm life, for example JD. Been doing similar to you for a few years now, we have the land but only just starting the exciting stuff like building a garage/workshop and then a house.

Hi [member=59890]Grakat[/member] I was looking at a John Deere 4066RCAB (+bucket, +slasher, etc), but it's primary role of slashing the steeper hillsides doesn't add up when I can pay someone to do it for the next 30 years at a third of the cost (and no personal time and no fuel and servicing costs) ... so now I'm thinking a smaller loader with things like trenching and post hole attachments makes sense. I have got a Polaris Ranger 1000 that I use for spraying and general muck about, a Cub Cadet with a 60" deck and lots of maintenance stuff (big self drive Toro mower, Chipmaster shredder and lots of orange stuff [Stihl]).

Have a look at the JD 3038e if you want to achieve largely the same result without costing a bomb. I'm guessing my block is a lot smaller than yours, as I am looking at 1025R or the new 2025R with loader and backhoe.

Actually the 3045 rops was the low end of my thinking, with the 4066 cab at the top. I'm now thinking bobcat track loader with attachments and using a combination of the slasher guy we're using and a few goats [smile]

Just ordered the CXS from Uncle Bob.  I've been agonizing over adding another battery platform but the size and right angle function. pushed me over my reluctance.  So no I have 12 and 18V Milwaukee's, 18v Fein, 18v Festool and 10.8v Festool.  Jeez!  [sad]

... I got a new (used) Festool sander on the way.

Well the used sander arrived... Mrs asked what is THAT!

So that goes with the other used sander (DX93).
And the red 1/2 sheet sander, and the yellow 5"/6" random orbital.
Basically... "I shall not want" for more sanders. This really rounds out the stable. (Belt, corner, random-orbital and 1/2-sheet)

It looks like it has more frequent flier miles than average, as I removed the Yankee 220v male plug!
(I will put the Yankee plug onto a Nuetrik to go with the Au and Eu/Schumko for world-wide readiness.)
And then I tested it.
No odours, and the belt moved.

The only thing remaining is the frame, and some supply of the belts. Probably in the 240-600 range for veneer... But a few course ones for agro-work would be good to have on hand.

Well technically I didn't make the purchase but its my money, got home from a few days away with work and SWMBO just casually said "oh I ordered you that saw thingy you were looking at its in the garage - welcome home"

low and behold a Kapex 120 was sat waiting for me in the garage  [smile]

Just received PDC 18/4.  Used off Ebay $385.00, came in 90 Anniversary systainer, 90% angle attachment was only thing that looked used, charger was still wrapped in plastic, both batteries charged up.  Ordered the eccentric chuck...now going to give my son-in-law my Milwaukee 18v hammerdrill and older impact driver...he's not getting my new Milwaukee 18v hydraulic impact.  [cool]

I bought 6 used classic Systainers. Two each of SYS1, SYS2, and SYS3.  They aren't pretty, but they were cheap! Going to take a shot at organizing my non-Festool tools.

Used Planex and CT36 AC off Ebay...seller included a ton of sandpaper, bags, and vest attachment.  $1500  [big grin]  Both daughters have extensive drywall projects coming up.  I've been using vac attached pole and hand sanders for years...this seems like a more efficient solution.

Im not sure if this is the right folder for this. Ive seen this sort of thread in other forums ad thought it would be cool to do here and see if you guys think the same.

I just bought a replacement hose garage for my CT 26 and a Long life bag for it.  I got tired of messing around trying to empty the regular bags in the middle of a project. The hose garage, wel lets say I had a ooopps see and cracked.it. Tried to repair it but it didnt work.  So I bought a new one.
