Festool 204822... but that one has a permanent (?) bypass. Great...
I guess for the oldstyle D27 hose I need the 202346? [huh]
Ha, I am amazed to see they made this. Another sign they closely watch this forum.
And I can't understand why Festool keeps doing everything that has to do with vacuum cleaners wrong.
PERMANENT bypass ... really? For the small sanders, ok, but how about when you're doing clean up or have a saw attached or a router? Then you want maximum suction. So you can't have this nozzle installed on your hose. Who uses his vac only with one type of tool?
Why oh why didn't they make the nozzle with an adjustable ring like plenty of other vacuum cleaner brands do? Twist it one way, the valve opens, twist it the other, it closes? I'm baffled.
Well, I received that hose end with the bypass (204822)... and yes, it's a permanent bypass.
I also found out why I ordered it wrong. See title of the product;https://www.festool.nl/accessoires/202346---d-27-dm-asct
vshttps://www.festool.nl/accessoires/204822---d27-bp-asct
In the name of the hose end that I wanted (202346) there is a space between "D" and "27". So when I searched the seller's website for "Festool D27" the one with the bypass showed up, and the normal one without the bypass didn't show up.
Apparently... ALL the Festool hose-ends have that space between the D and the actual diameter in numbers, except the one with the bypass...
The devil is in the details..
The hose end with the bypass is on it's way back now. I have absolutely zero use for a hose end that makes the entire hose only suitable for sanders...
I also found out that the Festool FS-WA/90° (205229) does not fit in the classic Systainer. You can fit it in the same Systainer as the TS55 if they Systainer is T-loc. The T-loc Systainer is a bit wider internally at some places. In the classic it only fits on it's side in higher Systainers near the back, but before the rear side clips. With the T-Loc those clips aren't there and the Systainer is wider more closer to the hinge and the FS-WA fits even with the TS55 in the Systainer.
