What Festool Did You buy Today?

Your new purchase was making quite an impression....

You got that one right.  [smile]  We call her Nosey Josey and for a good reason.

For these vacuuming trials I'd make a single forward pass, then put the vacuum wand down while the vac was still running, grab the phone and take a picture. So she became very interested in the spinning beater bar/bristle bar.

While I’m waiting at the UPS pick up point to get the other parcel with Festool stuff, this exciting box came along with the CT-VA 20:

How does this head compare to the one that comes in the kit,

Rick,
I have the set you posted and the head in that set doesn't have a beater bar. The turbo head is more like the head in this:https://www.festoolusa.com/accessory/203408---d-36-hw-rs-plus
But I think the turbo head has some additional features.
Here's the links for the individual heads:https://www.festoolusa.com/accessory/452908---d-36-bd-370https://www.festoolusa.com/accessory/203797---d-36-bd-iihttps://www.festoolusa.com/accessory/203809---d-36-tkb-ii

Hi Lee, thanks for the information.  I am still trying to decide if I need a super duper head for just cleaning up the garage floor.  Be nice to have something I could eventually use in the house on carpet.

I got home yesterday with a new order list
Kapex 120
TPC an TID Kit
BHC
CTL Midi
and a hole lot of fun stuff
can't wait of everything to arrive  [big grin]

Last night I found a DX93 on Craigslist and I went and got it today. As is tradition I spent more tonight ordering sandpaper than I spent on the sander. My name is Alan, I am a toolholic!

Hello guys, I am quite new here. I am from Prague and we have a two companies, one is focused on outside decking, cladding and second is offering the most luxurious wooden floors. I have personally met with festool tools in 3 years ago. We we were quite small firm and mostly selling decking to small contractors. In that time we mostly hired external workers to install wooden decking, these guys always use cheaper stuff, even from LIDL (hobby brands as Parside, Assist, Einhell etc). How time passed we have grown up from company about 3 - 4 people, currently we are 25 people, 6 our own istallers + on another company another 5 flooring specialist. You know everything what we have is festool :D:D:D.

I started last year to buying festool.
1 psc each - KS 60, KS 120, KS 88
3 psc - OSCURO
3 psc - track saw
7 psc - TID, PDR, PDC etc.
1 psc CS 50, TSK 80
2 psc radias SYS
2 psc duo lighs
and many others.

cost me fornute but do not regret any crown invested (we still have czech crowns). I have become total festool lover and i do not want to my people will use another brand than festool. I can tell that our company is growing well also thanks to festool, clients see our tools and our reputation is great.

yesterday I was in shopping mood:
1 psc KS 120 + 1 psc KS60 + tables + L+R prologntate
1 psc DUO
1 psc CS 50
1 psc OSC 18
3 PSC TID 18, 3 PSC PDR + 1 PSC TS 18
2 PSC vaccumcleaners
1 psc rotex 120 + rotex 90
6 systainers, + tracks + blades

so i am looking forward to invoice - 10 000 EUR ex. VAT spent. but looking forward for my festool tools :-)

You'll like the DX 93...it's a nice sander. Coming from a Fein triangle sander, you'll notice much faster removal rates with the Festool and the paper doesn't wear out as fast.

I’ve been looking to pick up this sander for a bit,and was going to buy it soon.
I cut a butcher block countertop for a guy at work ,and he gave this one to me.
He had 2 and I was negotiating buying one of them, but after a few times helping him,and the countertop ,he gave it to me.
Total surprise to me.
It’s used but works well.
RTS 400 Req.

Picked up the BHC 18 set that was on Recon the other day because I wanted to complete my drill collection I have very important and top secret projects to use it on.

It arrived looking brand new in box. Would never know it was a refurb.

I got myself one of those little CXS drills and wasn't disappointed. It really is a great tool to use and made building my MFT top a real nice project. I was lucky to get one here in Canada but Ultimate Tools in Vancouver got a few in and i bought one.

Couldn't find one of my lag bolts until after i had my bench up on its wheels. 😃

Oliver has decided to spend his time in other ways and therefore he won't be able to answer your question.

But for those curious as to what that contraption is: it is the Festool MX-A. You use it to prevent dust from going all over the place when you drop a bag of plaster or something like it in a bucket. You hang it over the rim, connect it to a vacuum, and only then empty a bag into the bucket. If you have ever stood in a cloud of that nasty stuff, then you'll understand why that would be desirable.

[Edit] Apologies. I see now that is not the question that was asked.

Received T 18 ordered from Recon today. Unlike most of the previous refurb tools I’ve gotten, this one has clearly seen some use: the tool and batteries are both pretty dusty and clearly weren’t given even a basic wipe-down at the factory, which makes me wonder a bit about how thorough of an inspection it was given. The Systainer has a few stains on it as well that indicate it’s traveled a bit.

What was a bigger surprise, though, was that what I ordered and paid for was a T 18 Basic, and what I’ve got here is… well, a bunch of stuff someone threw in a box, apparently. The drill, three Centrotec chucks, the right angle chuck, Jacobs chuck, two 5.2Ah non-Bluetooth batteries and an SCA-8 charger. The box, though, reads T 18+3 Li-Basic.

I’m a bit perplexed, but not going to complain about free stuff.
