What Festool Did You buy Today?

I got the Centrotech bit set came today. It will go along with the longer bit holder and the manual driver handle that I got a week or so ago.
It seems the attachement is zero-size.

Did you get an actuall full Centrotec shaft driver, so it can accept the angle chuck etc., or the newer "direct" Centrotec holder ?

I am by now thinking of making a handle for the BA-CE Drill Adaptor so can use the angle and excentric chucks with it. Cannot seem to find the "shaft+chuck" handle anywhere.  [sad]

Just a quick input regarding using the “old” Centrotec driver handle with the angle and eccentric chucks: You can also use any industry standard hex bit driver with the angle and eccentric chucks. - It only needs to be slim, aka the magnetic only, cause the lock-in collar ones are to fat to fit inside.

"Technically" not Festool, but close enough.
The new Shaper Plate showed up today. The original shipping date that was given to me was Nov 4th, but it came in earlier than that. Now I'm going to have to figure out where/how to store it.

Snagged a 6 month older Domino Xl 700 kit. Two bits, some dominos left and the accessories never used. Got it for $1100. pretty happy with the price and I think I can still warranty register it. Seller paid cash and told me the date he bought it.

Are those the same legs on the CS 50?

I don't think they are, the cs50's legs mount to the table from the outside vs the inside; but there are similar legs for the cs50 now (with the bolted on wheels and plastic outriggers)

Ah yes, the top is crimped on in reverse.

The legs of the CS 50 I use have the crimp get loose, so you have to kick it so it spreads all the way before it stands stable.

I found and purchased a used DX93 Deltex sander.  Very happy with being able to find this.

I was sanding recessed panels that were 4" wide, and none of the current sanders would fit.  Very happy with the purchase!

I went to the local dealer (WoodWerks)to place an order for an FS2424, since I was fairly sure they wouldn't have one in stock. I figured I would have to prepay, or at least put down a deposit, so I went in person. While I was there a CT15 decided that I needed it in my life.
They normally have one of those big FS5000 rails hanging on the wall, but it was gone.

I think the 197" rail was discontinued.  Someone probably bought the one off the wall.  Can you imagine the problems shipping something like this without it being damaged?

The number of those damaged in shipping was large.  Also had to go common carrier due to the length.  Festool USA actually had materials in their warehouse to build shipping boxes for those, but many a forklift won the squeamish.

It's still in the newest catalog item number 491500. Yes, shipping is the exact reason I got my FS3000 and this FS2424 from a local dealer. They will get it truck delivered from F-USA and the usual "rough handlers" don't get near it. They are probably too big for most of them anyway. The FS5000 definitely would be. I did get the FS1900 from an Amazon seller, it was ok. It had two pieces of pine 1 x 4 in the box though.

It is not showing on their website although the page description mentions "...up to 197"".

I got an actual hard copy of the catalog from the dealer, during my visit to the "Festool Experience" last month. It's my first one since 2016. They had the same one at the dealer today to look up the number for the FS2424.

Here is a notice from Shane stating this rail was discontinued.  Dated May 4 2022.

If this one is on your list, order soon.  [wink]

Once it's sold out, customers will need to order shorter rails and use connectors.

Tough I already have a orginal (old version in new condition) Milwaukie Hamer Drill, I have a lot , I mean alot of drilling to do to put some screens to cover the drain holes on my block wall fence. I live on a acre and half which the back of the house is enclosed by a block wall fence. In Az lower couse of blocks are required to have the blocks with holes to allow for drainage.

This is also where my little doggie sneaks out of the yard and where rabbits and snakes sneak into the yard. The damn rabbits keep eating my plants.

So I found the PDC kit on the Festool recon and  got it. Just see dragging a extension cord all over the back yard to drill holes to screw tapcons in (using tapcons to attach the screen to the block wall)

Came home with a DF500, MFK700, OF1400, KA65 and a MFT3.

Turns out this purchase should have been discussed with the ministry of war and finance first, who knew  [scratch chin]

Bit the bullet and ordered the TSC 55 KEB today along with the CT bluetooth module.  I already had a charger and a number of batteries but none of them are bluetooth so I figured it was time for an upgrade in that department as well so I got the Plus variant.

After what my wife bought herself while we were in Santa Fe this weekend, even with my purchase, I still have room for some catch up...

What did she buy....a car or something?

I always heard it as "It's easier to get forgiveness than permission."
