The CT 36 AC just arrived from Festool Recon. It arrived double boxed as usual and appears to be in like-new condition. The black hose has been used as there is some small amount of residual drywall dust in it...just a few specks really. The CT 36 on the other hand is spotless, I can't find a speck of drywall dust or even dirt anywhere on the vac. Even the bottom of the casters are clean. [eek]
The black 36 mm hose is extremely flexible and also very light in weight. Much more flexible and lighter than even the newer braided 36 mm hoses. That was a good choice Festool made for use with the Planex. Just a real nice piece of equipment.
The only disappointing feature is that Festool priced 5 each of the fleece filter bags at $53 and 5 each of the simple plastic dust liners at $51. I get why they did it but that is still annoying. I was going to use it like a cyclone and just run plastic bags all of the time but I'm rethinking that option. The fleece filter bag does provide a filtering means and prevents the HEPA filter from loading up as quickly.
Here's what a $10 plastic bag looks like.
