Wow, our OP shops are nothing like yours by the look, here they're mainly filled with really old clothes, books not worth getting for free, mismatched plates and cutlery, and furniture at obscene prices!

I've donated a lot of construction material and tools to the local ReStore...I've also purchased several items from the store. My best purchase was a Simpson full view exterior fir door with LowE & argon thermopane glass. It retails now for about $1800 and I paid $35 for it. Granted, I had to change the handing of the door and completely refinish it but other than that, it's worked well outside for the last 8 years. You just have to stop in every now and then and help your wallet while also helping your community.

@Cheese Because of the Electrical Tag & Testing laws here almost all OP shops won't even take anything with a cord of any type. And if one of them had an item that retailed new for $1800, they'd be selling it at $500 minimum no matter the condition.
