What Festool Did You buy Today?

I'd love a drilling guide like the Spe Tools guide, but with the FastFix attachment that the MB40 uses. One can hope they release one with angled adjustments, even if they have to release it in metric degrees.

The Rockler drill guide directly supports Centrotec...it was the reason I asked "Santa Claus" for it a couple years ago, long before the Festool device was made available.

Look at the shank where you attach the drill at the top...it has both the "standard" groove and the Centrotec groove farther down along with slightly rounded corners.

New TSC 55 KSEB showed up yesterday, hilariously the Tabless 8ah batteries advertised specifically for it are supposedly not being released for another whole month so I guess I’ll trial it on single 5ah and see how it holds up compared to the old 36v for another 4-5 weeks.

Weird release schedule Festool, really. A power plus pack with the TSC and 2x 8ah packs would have been a nice launch kit.

I’m not keen on the knob above (front of) the handle. There is a little bit of play in the plunge pivot so I prefer to use just enough pressure on the handle to keep the saw plunged and any extra pressure goes to the shoe or blade housing to keep steady engagement with the track, especially on miters.

I’ll post a follow up in here once I’ve used it a few times. It was a toss up between the 60 and this, but I’m trying to simplify my workstation and cordless Domino with cordless dust extractor has shown me the light. I can have a CT 25 with separator setup for breaking down sheets, then move the CTLC between crosscut station, joinery station, and sanding/assembly area all with cordless tools and it’s life changing

All I want is an 18v OF1010 and my life is complete.

My solution isn’t very clever. Had an extra M112, cut out the label from the panel of the box.

Cool, I tried it out. I never knew it did that. They don't show that as a product feature.

Ironically, it was one of the first things I noticed about it when a Rockler store opened in S NJ a couple years ago and I abused myself with the frustrating drive to "do the Grand Opening tour". That's when it went on my list and Santa obliged.
