I see that the battery warranty is Great, but how long will a charge last in normal usage?
For example, how many 2" screws should it drive through 1/2" ply into 2 x 4s on a single charge?

Especially as compared to other 10-12 V Lithium battery drills.

Welcome to the forum!

You can drive more than 200 2" screws on a single charge, recharge time is about 30 minutes or so. Remember that we have a no-hassle, 30-day money back guarantee. Get one, try it. If you don't like it, just return it for a full refund.

If I win one - I won't have to return it...I think I'll wait and see. (This does qualify for the giveaway, right?)

hard to say really, i fire a billion screws a day with it and maybe change batteries once a day. I've never gone through two in a day i don't believe. Just note the cxs will drive slower than a standard 18v obviously and the batteries wont last as long (that being said i believe there's better battery life on my cxs than my makita with the slim pack batteries). If it's a really large job that can be worked on comfortably with a standard 18v I'd go for that if speed was a concern. If comfort is more of a priority than speed, cxs all the way.

Comparing it to other 12v drills i'd say it out performs on all fronts, there is no comparison on the market.

So, that's a minimum of half-a-billion per battery, then, yes? Shane, you want to chime in & make that official? [poke]

jmb are you out there
have you a cxs
we need a video test done.
you must have some of the compeditors to the cxs.

I'd offer to test but my only other drills are other brand 18v's with quickly dying batteries that are lucky to last a day. :)  The CXS beats the tar out of old dieing drills...hows that?  ;D

I use mine all day on cabinet installs and have yet to need to change batteries more than once a day.  I had the Bosch p20 and I was changing batteries three times a day...

Such a great little drill.

Yo bro!    Im sorry I dont have the CXS im afraid! Even though Rexy said to me he was going to send me one even though I didnt ask for the CXS. He said he would pay to post it back if I didnt like it!  But he said he was so sure I would like it that he didnt need to worry about me asking to have it sent back free of charge lol!   I was tempted but I knew once it arrived I properly would of kept it and he knew that so I insisted to not send it took some convincing lol!

If Festool sent me the CXS im sure I can find a few other brand drills from my fellow trades man!
