Are you sure that is a Festool piece?  The label on the handle doesn't look like it says Festool but not sure what it says.

If it is a Festool part you can look up the part number on the bottom (can't make out what is says) and you will know what it is.

Thanks...I think you're right, it might not be a Festool part. I assumed it was because it was with other Festool bits and pieces. No luck searching the part number.

It looks like the early version of the track stop that allows you to plunge cut without the track saw kicking back on you.

It is a stop for the LR32 system. It holds one of the bars that maintains the distance of rail to the edge of the board. It should have a metal plate and bolt on top as well.

Item 16 in the attached link: Festool part

It's definitely a Festool part, just with a replacement lever

458 800 runs in the system, looks like it's the LR32 thingy as mentioned above

It does sorta look like an LR32 part but in fact it’s an early track stop with a replacement handle (combining a few of the above replies).

I think Michael is correct and that handle could be original because Festool did use Kipp quick-set handles on some of their earlier equipment.

The original black Kipp handle for the MFS is on the right.
