At this point in time, I'm fascinated with how you are able to get an orange T-Loc!
That was purchased way back in 2017 before Woodcraft was able to special order colored Systainers. It was an interesting purchase as I was communicating directly with someone from Tanos and the funds were then sent directly to Germany. It took almost 6 months for the Systainer to reach the US and by that time, I'd already purchased a new OS 400. At that point, all my cutting/scraping was done with the OS 400 so I just took the Fein and the accessories, placed them in the new Systainer and that was it. 🤷‍♂️

Just returned home from a quick trip to the Napa Valley to visit my Daughter. Lucky I took my pickup down to deliver a basket/pantry rack I made for her for Christmas.
The local lumber yard is in the process of closing out on Festool line.
P got to pick up some a couple of items at a discounted price.
I also got to pick up 2 floor Festool floor mat (systainer style) for $5 each.
I also snagged a 16’ guide rail for $400. But I needed to buy a 2x10 x16’ to transport it back to Oregon.

So at those prices...why didn't you just purchase the entire store's inventory for $4500 and re-sell it and retire? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Drop shipments of Festool tools to Minnesota are OK. :)

I'm astounded that a 16' rail even exists!

And uh, what's the name of this lumber yard?:)

Is the Fein color that much different then the orange color that can be purchases from Tanos?

The shade is different as you can see here. The SYS3 T-Loc is the current stock shade of orange. I'm presuming that Fein had their own custom color for their systainers. But if you just bought the new orange and didn't have the original next to it, no one would know.

Oh sorry, looks like I placed my previous post in the wrong spot. In Non Festool item instead of what Festool item.
The store is Central Valley Builders supply in Napa. , Ca.
They had a few sanders left, one small drill, some sandpaper.
They had about 4 of the medium length HK tracks.

Yes I was surprised that they even had the track in the first place. They were never a large dealer. I feel they really didn’t know how to market it.
They had a MFT set up all wrong. I even offered to give their employees a little training after the took on the line and way before I moved away.
The original marked price was $665.00.
I couldn’t leave it there.

Oh man, factoring in the 2 x 10 you really got ripped off!😀

Lucky for you it was a lumber yard. 👍

Just thinking about that a little bit more, anytime I've seen the 5000 rail it was sitting in its custom wooden box or on top of its wooden box...and that makes sense.

It's also interesting to note that now that the FS 5000 is no longer available, it doesn't seem to be as prohibitively expensive as it first seemed to be.

Yes, the 5000. It's actually a bit (approx. 3") over 16' !

Seth
Oh, 5000. I remember CRG and someone else discussing cutting a 5000, but I didn't actually think about it in terms of feet! It would be Epic in the garage, but I'm fascinated on how I would transport it home. I can do 10' boards in my Tacoma with it running from the dashboard through the back window and over the 4' bed, but an additional six feet? Craziness!

I would venture a guess that they didn't sell many of those and shipping was via freight due to the length of the rail and packaging. I'ms are that the percentage of those arriving undamaged was much lower than average.

After getting some insight and answers to a few questions from @luvmytoolz I purchased a Lamello Zeta P2 and the connector assortment pack. I build lots of cabinets and am remodeling portions of our house. I figured I had more needs for Zeta than I do a Conturo. That said, I hope to justify the Conturo as well based on doing most of the remodeling myself.

I’m considering this as well, care to share what you plan to use it? Maybe there is something I haven’t thought of that will push me over the edge. I have a kitchen with 2 islands, 14’ of laundry room cabinets, 4 vanities, and a pantry to build for my wife, so some money for efficiency I can later use for the business has the approval of local Governor 😉

I am happy to share. My plans are:
- a window bench seat and floor to ceiling cabinets on both sides of the window
- bathroom vanity
- mud room (cabinets, lockers, and shelves)
- pantry
- large bathroom linen cabinet
- column wraps

Gluing without the need for clamps and being able to scribe/install face frames without exposed fasteners were two of the key capabilities that put me over the top.

Yes I’m not sure what I plan on doing with it yet.
I have connected 2-118”and a 42” to straight line some 20’ trim boards.
I have a top shelf in my trailer real close to the ceiling for tracks.
I also have a 12 foot 2by 10 cedar board for the pickup rides.
I’ll probably make a box for it.
Rick.
