What - non Festool - tool / workshop related gizmo/stuff did you buy today?

Yeah, I had never seen them before either until about 2 months ago. It seems these are little known items from their product range. I hope to spend some time in the shop next week. If I manage to do that I'll try them out and let you know my experiences.

I managed to track down the product page (https://products.wera.de/en/bits_holders_adaptors_the_range_of_bits_guide_sleeves_807_4_z.html) but they don't look like they're available here in the UK. A bit more detective work is required perhaps.

I bought 3/4" and 1" IBC chisel, mortise gauge attachment, and a medium tenon saw from Rob Cosman.

I picked up some Wera tools: Tool-Check Plus, Kraftform Kompakt, and a Zyklop set.

I also got a Knipex Plier Wrench.  I only learned such a thing existed a few days ago.

[member=53696]Roachmill[/member] : I see them at Conrad in the UK. See
https://www.conrad.com/p/wera-8074-...ool-steel-alloyed-hardened-f-63-1-pcs-1360331

for one of the set. Not sure this is a good price over there though.
Thanks for that. Thanks to the brain fart that is / was Brexit, ordering from the EU (Conrad are based in Germany IIRC) is no longer much fun.

I managed to dig them up on a UK site TerrierTools (https://www.terriertools.co.uk/?i=Search+Results&s=WERA+8007%2F4Z) for about 10 UKP each -  which is a lot cheaper than other places. They don't appear to hold them in stock so it'll be a 10 day wait but they are now on order. Fingers crossed they work well enough as I have a lot of slotted screws in my life. Thanks again for sharing them.

This air detector arrived in the mail. Will make some saw dust in the coming days to see if it will tell me how good or bad my dust collection /filtration system is.

Thanks for that..Wera heaven? [smile] Seems like they would ship to me as well  [oops]

I needed a planer so got a Dewalt.
I’m impressed with the machine, considering the relative size

As a side note,I used about 7-8 CT-26 bags in about 8 years,and never considered a cyclone .
That is until now , I have gone through 4 bags since Monday, the day I picked up the planer.
Cheers,Charlie

Good choice.  And soon, you'll be adding a Byrd Shelix head to it and be very happy with the decision.

It's taken almost 2 months to receive these but Woodpeckers had a special for 20% off of Whiteside router bits.

The 1/2" one for the router table and the 1/4" one for the 1010 with bearings on both ends.  [big grin]

Tighten the little set screw in the collar of the upper bearing. DAMHIKT

Congrats on the new planer.

Didn't your DW735 come with a hose and cloth trash can topper?

Mine did but that was over 10 years ago. You don't need an external cyclone
with the DW735 IF you are piping directly into a trash can and using the supplied
hose which is only about 5 feet long. It's enough to get the can off to the side and
will save you going through so many bags on your CT.

Is there an issue with the set screw as it comes from Whiteside? If so, thanks for the heads-up Jeff.  [smile]

No known issue. Just the one I used (fresh from the factory packaging) projectiled out at 23,000 RPM. It's about half the size of a BB. I heard it hit the wall, but I haven't found it.

It did not, but it did come with a exhaust fitting.
Rockler has some bags I may look into to save the CT.
Nice little planer though.

Another option here, is what I use.  They have versions without the zipper, don't go that way.  Its miserable emptying it.

5 Micron Replacement Bag

Because the internal blower is so powerful on the DW735 there are several options available to you. I have a Jet Vortex DC that the Dewalt is plumbed into. I don't even bother to turn on the Jet, the Dewalt just pumps the dust & chips into the Jet all by itself.  [big grin]

Consider swapping in a Byrd Shelix head at some time...it's a very worthwhile upgrade.  Also, the Wixey WR510 digital readout is very nice for only $65.

This is the animal I was referring to. Maybe when I bought mine it was included in the package, not sure.
It might not be available any  longer but once you're had a look at it someone handy with a sewing machine could whip one up in a few minutes and then use any 4 inch hose.
