Ordered the TSO TPG 30 set plus a drop on adapter from the local TSO dealer. Expected shipping in 150 days...

It seems universal that everyone who tries vacuum clamping in their shops love it. I’m hesitant about buying the Festool vac sys, as good as it may be, simply because it isn’t generally readily available so I ordered up the excel5 kit and some of their pods. Should be here tomorrow as I head out for work naturally! I’m looking forward to trying it out. I have a few ideas for homemade jigs and if all goes well it will be a permanent setup in my shop! Maybe even add one of the Festool holder things at some point. Not sure about that yet they are a bit expensive.

I corrected the spell checks and auto-corrects. Thanks. I think I will avoid Ukraine for a while.

I got a nice surprise... it already shipped. I guess their stock status was incorrect or something.

Snappy Centro-tec bit set. I do wish that they had made the pouch thing just a bit smaller, but I will probably make a grooved insert to fit there with some round-bottom grooves.

I'm still trying to find ways to organize the storage unit to reach its full potential. A good friend of mine built his own revolving unit several decades ago:

The one that I've been looking to buy for bench use, but couldn't find one is this one:

Well, it might be a stretch to call this a tool.  But she will create dust that can be collected by an extractor.  Certainly can create wood chips if released to that end.  Also has the possibility of spending time in the shop if I ever get it set up, although setting on a shelf would be oh so wrong.  Sitting a chair would be ok.  I guarantee that she will be able to temporarily disappear like every tape measure and razor knife I have.

This is Xena - yes, my fourth Golden Retriever.  Eight weeks old and oh so ready to teach me a thing or two about canine Fluid Dynamics.

She joins Indiana Jones, Magnum P.I., and Remington Steele in our canine-centric family.

(And yes, Daddy wanted a little girl again...)

Interesting dog names for sure, though I imagine that Remington Steele would go past most people. That was quite some time ago.

The dog names started with MacGyver who was our first Golden.  He came to us during a time when things weren't going so well at home, and I hoped that with some duct tape and perhaps a Swiss army knife he could make things better.  He did.  That was twelve years ago and although he passed away 3 years ago his memory and legacy continues.

Peter, she's beautiful & the expression on dad's face is priceless. Xena's a lucky girl.

Aren't dogs the greatest and most trustful companions? Whenever you're down, they will help you see the positive side of things. Just having to care for them, even when you are not feeling up to it due to circumstances, helps you get through the worst of times. And they will never ever abandon you.

Enjoy your new family member!

Hi!

I love picture threads  [eek] [eek] [eek] and I love being inspired by purchases other people make  [scared] [scared]  [eek] [eek]  [big grin] [big grin] - it would be really cool if we could get this thread running.

Please share whatever you feel like sharing when you made a tool / workshop related purchase - even the smallest gizmo/gadget  [big grin]  [big grin]  [big grin] Just no new Festool purchases, as there is an existing thread for that on the main board. :)

Kind regards,

I just ordered the Benchdog Quad MFT Hinge system.  I have bought several aftermarket MFT Hinge replacement systems and I don't like them.

Xena is absolutely gorgeous Peter...I love her coloring. Some people refer to that color dog as a Canadian Golden Retriever.

She seems rather large for only being 8 weeks old.  [huh]

[member=1674]Peter Halle[/member], wasn’t it MacGyver who helped you pack the special edition FOG Systainers?

[member=297]Michael Kellough[/member] yes it was.  He helped keep me motivated and entertained.

Thanks for remembering.

We''ll see what color she turns out to be.  All nine in her litter were different colors.  She is actually the half-sister of our Magnum (same dad, different mom).  Magnum is extremely light but does not have the Golden fur at all even though he has the proven bloodline.

Ironically our over two came from a different breeder and Indiana is an Uncle to Remington.  Remington's mom was Indiana's sister (different dad of course.)

Back to trying to solve Fluid Dynamic problems...
