I just wanted to say that everything went well but late today.  Got back to room about 4 hours ago, was going to type something, but happy drug time arrived and I decided to take a nap.

Thank you for all your thoughts and wishes.  The operating room lights did seem to have a slightly green glow.  Hmmmm
 
Very nice!  How many syslites did you count up there before they knocked you out? :)
 
Just came across this thread....Peter, get well soon and hope your recovery is speedy, comfortable and complete! 

I think we should all chip in and get him a pretty German nurse for hire to give him a FOG sponge bath.  As she slowly cleans him she can read to him posts from the FOG.  [eek]

Or is Peter married and the wife would not appreciate that???  [embarassed]

With all those details, sure sounds like a fantasy of yours, lol.

When I tell my wife something like that, she just laughs.
I'm not sure if it's because she trusts me, or I should be insulted.

Peter, you have all my best wishes for a quick and complete recovery.

I was there in 2001.  "Happy 50th Birthday Mr. Green, and oh by the way, you have cancer". (Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma).

If you would ever like to talk, I would be more than happy.  I've done it a few times already...

BTW...

Which chemo regimen will you be undergoing?
 
Peter, My thoughts and prayers are with you as you walk this uncharted road.  As many members have commented keeping a positive view of your treatment is critical. Having observed this first hand with family members, I know this to be true.  Collectively the FOG group is like a worldwide family all pulling for your treatment to be successful.  Again thoughts and prayers are with you each day..................as you take it one day at a time.  Take care, Bruce W.
