Gents, I've posted a separate thread, in the member connections forum, with the above link.  Let's take care of someone who's done a lot for us here.

That's a great idea for what is likely a financial impact to him and his family while he's going thru this even with the gratis medical he's been blessed to receive.

In advance, "Shut up Peter! Let us show how much we care and how important you are to us the same as you've shown us over the years to all of us".

It's time to give a little something back from a man who we've received so much from imo!

I have just been to my local Festoy store.  I only bought some RO 150 Granat sand  paper and now, I have returned home with a terrible case of the shakes from having put up such an effort of resistance to the Terriible Slippery Slope. Thanks to Sean, I have found a way to relieve my symptoms and speed up my own recovery. 8)

Wow, I just found this thread, Peter You are in my prayers my friend, I pray for a quick recovery...

Guys, I don't usually get involved in promoting donations and such because I'm seen as a representative of Festool. Even so, I have made personal contributions to many charities and the like over the years that support the woodworking community. I'd like to be viewed for a minute as Shane, "just another guy on the forum", and not "the Festool employee".

Peter is a great friend and someone who is very giving, caring and selfless. He has done a lot to help this forum and assisted many of you through his tireless efforts. (Of course, Seth too). There's no minimum donation, I believe. If you can spare $5, please make a contribution to help our friend out. If you're afraid someone will judge you for a small contribution, just donate anonymously. [wink]

Thanks to everyone who's wished Peter well and to those who have made a contribution. Also, to those responsible to setting up the donations.

Shane

Over $1000.00 in the first day! Go Foggers!

I'd like to say that Peter has done many favors for me over the years, and I consider him a good friend and colleague.

No doubt he's got some rough spots coming (I've had a few over the years), but there's also no doubt he'll come out the other end with a long and healthy life ahead of him.

Hang in there my friend, it does get better fairly quickly.

I just had a scare in the last month.  Didn't know before tests were done whether it was something fatal or a condition.  The fear and unknown can be excruciating to ourselves never mind our family members til we know what is going on!  I was lucky!

The blood in my pee was kidney stones.  Doc said we don't have to deal with until it becomes a problem.  You can't believe how happy I was to glee that my symptom was kidney stones being caused by over working my body rather than most of the other 'possibles' that are related to peeing coca-cola coloured urine.

You start thinking about your existence and especially your family.  Puts things in perspective pretty darn quick.

Peter!  You'll work it !  Keep the faith and/or mindset going bud!  God Bless!
