Where or how can I get an mft table top or the plans

The distance form the edge only matters in that the row is parallel to the edge

can some one tell me the dimensions of their mft and the width from the edge to the outside row of holes ?
the measurements i have got are, Dimensions length x width 1102 x 718 mm
holes are 20mm diameter and are spaced 96mm apart.
regards

You have the overall dimensions, and you know the holes are on 96mm centres. All you need to do is fit a picture of an MFT top, and count how many rows & columns of holes there are. Then you can work it out, it's extremely basic maths.

thanks for that very helpful im not thinking strait, i have found someone to cut me a top so just want to get all the details right then perhaps others can benefit easily by having the file ready to go? i will see how it turns out

You will find, with use, that you need more than you ordered the first time.  I got mine from RMW RipDog Tools and they all work great.  I have all that he lists on the web sit.  I have put all to use, some in quadruple.  They are sort of like clamps in that "you never have too many".

If you're wanting to go cheap, then I use 20mm electrical conduit (the plastic stuff). So cheap it's nearly free (less than £1 from Screwfix for a 2m length!), easy to cut to whatever length you want, nice friction fit in the MFT holes, and doesn't destroy your blade if you accidentally cut through one!

arh good skills there prob loads of stuff that would work, would be nice to use some hardwood dowel in some ways !

This must be one of the threads with the highest number of OP posts against other members, 15/33 now.  [big grin]

And it actually looks like an exact copy of a standard mft top which can be bought pretty cheap. What'd that cost you to make including materials and time spent drawing it up?  [poke]

very good price
will let you know when it comes and i have checked it out, i have been trying to get the details right so that others can benefit in the future, so sorry for all the posts :(

is it advisable to cut the holes at 20.2 mm as they are in those plans above ?

My dogs measure 19.91 to 19.95 depending on who they are from.
But I follow the German method and like em gutentoight.
