Greetings, Festool made/makes 27mm hose for CMS router table. The ID of the hose is 27mm, the OD is 34mm.
I'm hoping one of our brothers or sisters across the pond might be able to help locate bulk replacement hose, as nothing like it exists in the US. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers, E

If you look in EKAT, you can find the number. I think it is just the old style ribbed hose. But older version has the gray (non anti static) version and the newer one has the green antistatic version.

I found the part number last night; was like 50 euro for 2 meter... but the FOF was playing dead by the time I wanted to post and I am not looking into EKAT on the phone.

Do you get hose by the meter as well? As catalog item?

A legitimate Festool hose is tapered to reduce it to that 27mm tool end. The only way you are going to find "bulk" hose is straight, which may compromise its airflow.
The other option is a larger hose, then somehow adapting it to the tools.

This is the older ribbed hose, they aren't tapered.

If you're looking to replace a CMS hose set, one of our brothers or sisters up north has one posted on CL.  If not the CMS set, you can browse CL for the replacement size you're looking for, but as indicated above, EKAT would be a place to check also.

Ah, I have no experience with the CMS, didn't know they were different.

The black ribbed hose that came with my CT-15 is though.
Way back, before I had a Festool extractor, I used a small Shop-Vac, but bought a Festool hose, to skip the fitment issues on the tool end. It was the old silver/gray non-antistatic hose. I don't remember either way on it?

Non-antistatic is funny, every time I see it or say it myself. It's a flaming double-negative (seriously incorrect grammar, at least in English) However selling it a "static" may not go so well?

They aren't different. It's just that the Y-hose for CMS / CS-50 / etc. never got updated to the smooth hose. It did get updated to antistatic. There isn't really a point to update it to the smooth seeing it's semi stationary use case.

Note that there is also a difference in the used hose ends. Earlier versions don't have the rotating type, or at least the D27 spur didn't. I think with the update to antistatic they added that too and by the looks of it... they even got it that nasty by-pass valve on the D27 end now.

To confuse things further, in the past, when one purchased a CMS insert for the TS-75 or TS-55, they came with a 3-4m section of 27mm hose as the photo shows in the original post. For a time these inserts were shown on Ekat, as were the replacement part numbers. The only part diagrams that currently exist, are for the router insert, which shows 577280, that is not what I'm after. It would be awesome if we could buy lengths of non-tapered, anti-static 27mm hose, thats what I'm after. Does it exist?

Not sure about US, but here is how I would look for it in Europe:
https://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich/MainSearchProductCategory.html?q=festool++D+27+MW-AShttps://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich/MainSearchProductCategory.html?q=festool++D+36+MW-AShttps://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich/MainSearchProductCategory.html?q=festool++D+50+MW-AS

Alernatively, if you make a less-specific search, something like:https://www.idealo.de/preisvergleic...?q=festool Saugschlauch D 27&sortKey=minPrice

If you want meter hoses, sort from lowest price and there will be a pile of compatible offers. I suspect same will work on Aliexpress.

I must be missing some parameter.  A google search shows dozens of sources (though they seem to be rather expensive).

Lee Valley specifies CMS.

Below is a screen shot, not a link:

The (original) Festool hoses were always expensive when sold by the meter. More so than the pre-made ones. Pretty sure I did not see them below €40 per meter even a couple years ago.

That said, there are compatible options around. Especially the d27/D35 hose size OP is looking for is pretty standard all around.
e.g. here there are 5 meters for €40-ish:https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0DS1NPRKK/?smid=A2IO6TB8QJNSMA&th=1

For my track saw I got a Bosch hose from Amazon.  Fits fine; much cheaper than the Festool offerings.

Yeah, my first hose had the regular end, with just the ridges on the inside and the one around the very end of the outside. My first DF500 did too. I much prefer that to the current twist locking thing. The rubber seems stiffer, less flexible.
Seems like that may have been a transition time? My first ETS EC had the newer fitting. It may have been such a new tool, that it never had the older fitting? I honestly don't remember for sure, but I think so. I didn't have nearly as many Festool tools back then, the rest had "special" fittings. The MFK700 and OF1010, or didn't need one CXS. That's all I had back then, oh, except for the O1400, which I had for less than 1 week, before the fire got them all.

My CT-15 hose has the current by-pass. It makes the fitting longer, for no good reason, I never open it. I'll slow the machine down myself, if I need less suction.

I wasn't even talking about the stupid bayonet that restrict the flow, but about the hose end on the older Y-hoses that don't have rotating couplings. But again; not really an issue with stationary use.

That's exactly what I'm looking for, thank you.

Doesn't look like any of the items can be delivered to the United States. Anyone up for a postal run?

Franky, I would just get the hose for the CT SYS series. It is D27 and goes for not that much in the US from what I can see:
https://www.festoolusa.com/accessor...ories/suction-hoses/577160---d-27x3m-as-90°ct

With the braiding and the connectors that comes to about two meters of a plain hose .. The meter-ware hoses really make sense only when one needs very short or very long lengths in case of the D50 one.

Cut what you want/need from it and you can probably even sell-on the rest with the connectors ..

Or just get the CTC SYS while at it. LOL. The hose + the BT remote are $180, so now only $220 for the vac ... or even better, get a used CT SYS along with the hose ..

Cheers!

The Festool # for the 27mm anti-static hose 3.5m, 452878. If anyone has access to these, please let me know, I am interested in 2.
Definitely not available in the US.
Best, E

I'm told Festy discontinued the 452878 hose in 2018, for the love of god, why? If any of you Festy dealers have any laying around, please let me know.

I know this is a bit confusing, but just get the CT-SYS hose I mentioned.

The only difference between the braided hose is the *additional* braiding over it. You can remove the braiding and you will have a plain standard D27 hose. The hoses and the connectors are the same, there is just the braiding added - which can be removed if desired.

Festool discontinued the "plain" hoses (excepting D50 which does not have a braided variety) since they did not sell .. they were not much cheaper and too expensive for the market. The braided ones have enough value-add that people actually buy them.

Anyone who does not like the braiding can just remove it. Your bigger problem is that the "plain" D27 hoses are not made much anymore - the CT-SYS one is the only I am aware. This complicates it for cutting-to-length as the D27/32 varying diameter hoses, while superior in function, cannot be trimmed randomly for the connectors to work ..
