Where to find the B-57071 blade for Makita cordless track saw

I've had a Makita cordless track saw for several months, excellent saw. I like the stock blade which is 1/16" wide and 55 tooth count. I just want to have an extra blade on hand when the inevitable time comes to change it out.

I can't find that blade for sale anywhere. Has anyone else had success finding that specific blade? Not interested in a Freud or other brand because they are wider blades. The Makita blade is .063" and others are .087".

Perhaps [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] - Tool Nut or other retailers have insight?

Makita B-57071 - 55T, 1/16" kerf, 6-1/2" diam, 20mm arbor

Hey, John. My Makita guy is off today but I can check with him when he returns tomorrow. I don't see the stock blade listed on their website. The closest thing we have is a 56T with .079" kerf, model #A-99976. I did just add several other new Makita blades to our website yesterday that they are releasing for their track saws.

Just a thought:  I was told that Tenryu makes most of the Makita circular saw blades.  Tenryu advertises one 160mm blade with 0.063” kerf and 0.040” plate, but it’s 52-teeth.

Good suggestion. I had glanced over that blade because it ships with a riving knife which most anyone doesn't need nor can fit it to their saw. It's the Tenryu PSW-16052CB2TK.

52T is perfectly fine, kerf is spot on. Tenryu blades are my top pick. Run them in my Sawstop and TS75.

Committed to following up, so I thought I'd let you know what I found out even though it seems you've found an alternative. My Makita guy says this blade is only available with the new saw. It is not available as a replacement blade. Kinda weird...

You might have a look at Ridge Carbide. I know they have blades for DeWalt and Festool tracksaws, they might also have blades for Makita.

Just searched their site and I see they do make a 6-1/2" blade which is available with a 20mm bore. It's 40 tooth flat bottom raker design, but 3/32" kerf (0.093").

Truly bizarre. I guess that's a $500 blade then. The Tenryu is the only actual replacement kerf wise. Thanks for checking. Makita should get its butt in gear and provide those blades for purchase. Decisions like that always raise a red flag of concern as to the mental state of a company, and I really like Makita tools.

Any word on a dust bag for that saw.

Makita lists a bag on their website, but we tested and it doesn't work with the track saw. There are some various adaptions on the interwebs of other bags, including the Festool bag, which require modification. Last I checked, there was no ideal bag solution out there.

The whole blade thing is really odd.

Dust bag wise.... The Festool mod I performed is only good for non bevel cuts.

Best solution, the Mafell dust bag. It is press friction fit and works excellent with no modifications needed.

Been very happy with the Mafell bag. I'll make a separate posts with photos.

I am using the Mafell track saw dust bag for my Makita. It works great, fits tight with no modification. No complaints at all, but it's not cheap.

Mafell #206921 from Timber Wolf Toolshttps://www.timberwolftools.com/mt55-kss50-dust-bag
Where did you find out about the Mafell dust bag?
Fantastic! That's me. I am @TOOLSbyDesign on IG. Makes me happy to see people spreading the word.

Go check out the video I just posted on the dust bag.
