Get the largest one you can afford. The larger vacuums have better suction and bags are a better deal. Smallest I would reccomend would be a CT26. I have a CT36 because it was the largest one I could fit a boom arm on if I wanted that in the future.

I'm in Ireland and from what I can see a mini is going to stand me over 400 Euro, not much second hands around!
I'll have the car in UK in couple months so might try eBay for a deal over there
Seems like it will be a mini or midi........ In the meantime I might pick up a second hand house vac on the cheap cause I dont think missus was impressed with me using the new miele!

Festool often have promotions and often around Christmas. Just wait until I buy something new then two weeks after that there will be a discount voucher available. That's usually how it goes...
If you're buying in the Uk toolfest nuts and bolts and ffx are usually the cheapest but there is definitely an advantage to buying from a good local dealer and not always going purely in price.

I'm Looking at a Midi ... second hand... apparently works perfect but!!!
the top on it is broken, the plastic bit where systainers would sit on. can these be replaced? i cant seem to find any replacements anywhere so if someone could point someting out would appreciate it
