I know i am only 39. I know definitely that I am 39. I have been that for a lot more years than I wasn't.
When my mom died (at 97) a few years ago, a bunch of us in the family got to discussing age. It was decided that I was actually the oldest member of the Tinker family. I said it took a lot of hard work to get to that distinction. My son said it took a lot of crap from me for them to get me there. [poke]

I'm not the senior Festooligan but I do turn 50 in a month.
jacko9 gave us a clue that he may be one of if not the Senior Festooligan when in the thread on where to get Festool blades sharpened he slipped in that he has been getting blades sharpened at the same place (Standard Saw in the Bay Area) since 1945.

Sorry I'm late to the thread. Yes, I've spent a little bit of time on here. [smile] The forum doesn't show the full picture. The FOG existed before its current iteration, on Yahoo Groups. I was a member on there, too. There are some members that still exist that probably remember the early days of the Yahoo Groups version of the FOG.
It's been a fun ride, challenging at times, but mostly rewarding. I enjoyed the sense of community and being able to actually interact with and support all of you. I'm honored to have this role and appreciate the contributions from everyone that makes this a great forum. Needless to say, Peter and Seth (and Forrest at one time) are invaluable members of this online community, offering their time, knowledge, and passion. Festool and myself are greatly indebted to their role here.
John Stevens actually holds the title of most senior FOG member if we look strictly at first sign-on date and who is still active. He signed up 6 days before I did back in 2007, when the forum transitioned from Yahoo Groups, and he is member #4. I am member #101. Most senior dealer, that'd be Bob Marino, who is FOG member #5.
Matthew doesn't come around much anymore and was #1, of course. John Lucas from Wood Shop Demos was #2 and passed away a few years ago and we miss his contributions.
