Why does my ts 55 cut more into the splinter guard when I'm at full plunge?

So, any reason, and is this avoidable?  Or do I just buy double the guide rails so Im not continuously replacing splinter guards?

Thanks,  Jon

I would think something is misadjusted on your saw.  Check out Rick Christopherson's supplemental manual for the TS 55 and start checking your adjustments from scratch.  Especially the blade toe condition.

Well, since the saw is toed it'll cut slightly more of the splinter guard the deeper you cut.  I wouldn't mess with the saw unless it's really cutting into the strip.

Makes sense that since it's toe'd in that it would take a little more.  And since it was just in for service, I'm certain it's not out of adjustment.

Thanks guys.
