Why is Festool selling a STEALTH tool to only some people???

WHY WON'T YOU LET ME SEE THIS HIDDEN GEM CALLED THE "CSX"?? [crying]

It looks like the CSX may be at least similar to the CXS, but unless I can do a complete comparison, I can't be sure. I wanna see it! [tongue]

I just can't understand why Festool won't come clean on this important issue. I guess they care about some "special people" and the rest of us are left with the droppings! [scratch chin]

I WANT ANSWERS! [big grin]

Cheers,
Frank

Heh heh... Confused yet?? [wink]

*WARNING*
*SATIRE*

Frank,
We live in a world that has tools, and those tools have to be used by men who don't fly helicopters. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. SittingElf? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for the CSX, and you curse Festool. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That CSX's stealth, while tragic, probably saved money. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves money. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me to have a CSX, you need me to have a CSX. We use words like Festool, NAINA, green kool-aid. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent building something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very furniture that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a CSX, and screw in a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

(Adapted from Lt. Col. Jessup's courtroom answer in A FEW GOOD MEN)

;D

By the way Frank, Congrats on the 2 year anniversary !!!
[birthday song]
(Happy FESTOOL birthday)

EXCELLENT! [big grin] [big grin] [thumbs up]

Best post so far.... [tongue]

Cheers,
Frank

Thank you Frank! I'm glad you took it in the spirit it was intended.  [wink]

Perhaps one day (if you learn the secret handshake) you can obtain a CSX and KAPAX.
[dead horse]
If that ever happens then you can shift your focus to the TS 55 Trash Saw. Several of us have one in addition to the normal 55 REQ.  [poke]
They're really quite delightful.

I'm a little miffed with Festool.  I have been a very loyal, and until now a very satisfied customer, but it has become apparent that Festool has a tool that a number of people have been able to acquire and love that they don't make readily available to the rest of us! [mad]

This tool is called the CSX. I can't find any real information on it, but a lot of people, even here on FOG, own it and talk about it with loving praises.  In fact, if you do a FOG search for "CSX", there are 232 references to this stealth tool! [blink]

Now, I own a CXS which has become my most used Festool. I love it! Size, power, battery life, attachments. BUT...I 'may' want the CSX because I have Festool OCD and this addiction requires that I at least have a chance to evaluate and potentially purchase every available Festool tool. WHY WON'T YOU LET ME SEE THIS HIDDEN GEM CALLED THE "CSX"?? [crying]

It looks like the CSX may be at least similar to the CXS, but unless I can do a complete comparison, I can't be sure. I wanna see it! [tongue]

Does the CSX come as a set like the CXS? Does the CSX "look" like the CXS? What does the CSX have over the CXS? C'mon Festool...I don't care...I just WANT IT!  [drooling]

There are 904 references to the CXS that I own on FOG... and 232 for the CSX. That means that about one in four of the small drills is a CSX vs CXS! [eek]  I just can't understand why Festool won't come clean on this important issue. I guess they care about some "special people" and the rest of us are left with the droppings! [scratch chin]

I WANT ANSWERS! [big grin]

Cheers,
Frank
