I seen on a blog that its MSRP is like $225 which half what other Festool drills are priced at. Have they cut any corners on this and are all accessories German made?
Why is the CSX Drill so inexpensive?

Thanks for the questions. We don't comment on pricing strategies but I will answer your other questions.
As far as "cutting corners", the CXS still lives up to the exact same standards of quality, durability and functionality that our customers have come to expect. There is no compromise in those areas. In order to save weight and keep the drill compact, the CXS does not have a brushless motor which you will find in our other drills. The CXS and it's accessories are made in Germany.
