Why Makita? Why?

I've seen the question asked in a few different reviews, but has there been any sighting of a Maktrak to Macpac adapter?
I don't hate the idea of the Maktrack rolling tool chest, if there was an adapter to connect a systainer, might be enough to get a purchase out of a non-Makita person.
Does anyone know the dimensions of the top of the Maktrack rolling tool chest, could it fit 2 classic sized systainers side by side?

Yeah the dual chargers are awesome. I keep a LXT dual charger and a XGT dual charger in the van, and the same setup in the Shop. I have a third LXT dual charger and some XGT single chargers kept in reserve. It's funny, there are some weeks when I'll only need to charge a couple batteries, other times I'll have all of the chargers running.

They really are. I have had Makita, in the Lithium Ion form, since 2005. Back then, all they had were singles, and 3ah batteries. A lot has changed since then. I got my first double charger with the string trimmer, being the first 2-battery tool. That was a couple of years ago. The second one was with the miter saw.

My quibble is that whether or not Sys fit on a Maktrak, standing up the base unit to roll it all away will blend everything in there that isn't shadowfoamed in place. It'd be the same with any attached Systainers. Most inserts aren't designed to be carried sideways without spilling contents within the box. The other fatal flaw of Maktrak (imo,) is the tone-deaf omission of any kind of drawer. To say that Maktrak drawers (or a cart) might come later is a little ridiculous given they're already so late to the market.

Without anything to block the opening of any given lid in a stack, there's no real need for drawers, plus you retain the weather sealing of sealed boxes. 🤷‍♂️

Everytime I see those Makita first generation Systainers, I wonder "Why?"

Why are they using those old school Systainers in modern times?

Local dealer told me (over a decade ago) that the reason for the T-Loc update was that the patent had expired on the original classic systainers.

I'm guessing that has a lot to do with Makita's decision to keep using it. :)

Always follow the money.
